  Masters of the Universe: Genesis #1 does not disappoint with its origin premise and new revelations. The story unfolds just a bit without revealing its full hand in the first issue. This leaves room for intrigue and speculation that will surely add to conversations at the shop this week. Although there was a bit of confusion along the way, that does not detract from where this story should be headed. If you are a fan of the Masters of the Universe franchise, this is a must get book this week and should easily make your Pull List going forward. Read Full Review

  There are bigger questions waiting down the highway, especially once Grayskull, Randor’s kingdom, and the future champion of Eternia move closer to Skeletor’s lane. This opening chapter wisely refuses to blow every surprise before the race even starts. Instead, it gives Skeletor history, motive, swagger, resentment, and just enough vulnerability beneath all that supreme confidence to make the skull-faced bastard more interesting than a walking action figure commercial. By the final page, you know exactly what kind of collision is coming, and Douek has made damn sure I want to be standing trackside when it happens. Read Full Review
