Fortunately for Matthews, it's been so long since we've heard from these characters, that his masterful handling of their individual personalities provides more than enough of an excuse to not only buy, but also enjoy this mini. And while I'm not convinced that the story at hand would make for anything more than an average episode of the TV series, the world Whedon created with Firefly comes off so rich that even an unexceptional tale set within its universe feels substantial in its own way. Serenity: Better Days is good when contrasted to most comic books polluting the racks, but when compared to Firefly and the movie, Better Days is a little lacking. Maybe Whedon and Matthews need to move forward with the story rather stand still at a specific point before the culmination of the series. Read Full Review
