One of the things I appreciate about the larger Hellboy universe is that we get a solid four-issue series like this that doesn't have to be full of end-of-the-world material, or something so big that it's ridiculous. It's a very small and personal series with its focus on Sue that also explores the Golden Crane organization and its expansive history. It feels very lived-in and personal, not just for Sue but the family history that it showcases. I enjoyed it a lot with the strong artwork and designs that felt unique and interesting to watch play out while the story itself hits familiar beats but is executed in such a great way.
