Aug 17, 2026For a saga that owes a lot of its origin to the works of Akira Kurosawa, it seems somehow fitting that it should then be converted back into the Japanese cultural format of manga. The visuals are striking and impressive in their depth and ability to convey the story we know and love. The little notes about how things were progressing with the production are fascinating insights into the process, and the interview with Hisao Tamaki is a lovely exploration of the artist and their connection to the material.
