Nov 23, 2024This week’s issue marks the climactic end to this delightful series’ 2nd arc! (How are we already 2 arcs in btw?!?) Christopher’s growth has been a particular highlight this arc and writer Tate Brombal crystalizes it perfectly with the character’s issue-long narration pondering the what makes someone good or evil. His conclusion that good/evil isn’t a binary trait and continuously TRYING to do the right things is what really matters is something I don’t think he would have said when we first met him. Seeing someone so young, and who has always known himself to be an “other” in society’s eyes, go through what we’ve seen and now be able to articulate this kind of life analysis is so wonderful to see. It was also so great to see him take on a leadership role when he’s been so reluctant to do so previously.
