Jun 03, 2010In general, the story suffers in the end from the use of the Joker as narrator, ultimately leading to all of the issue's unnecessary distractions, misleading narrative twists and unfulfilled promises. The idea of the Riddler trying to win the love of an innocent citizen is strong enough on its own without all the needless window dressing. At its best, when the Joker's narration didn't stick out like a sore thumb and/or derail the plot, the story almost felt like an episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Which is a high compliment, indeed, even if it sadly fails to live up to that comparison in the end. Read Full Review
