  Yes, this issue leaves a lot of things unresolved. A bunch of subplots are left hanging and many characters are simply dropped completely from the story. But the mystery writer does find a credible way for the Legion to beat an unbeatable foe and to come back from certain death. And for the big twist at the end, he even manages to pull out a surprisingly touching happy ending. All in one issue. Those worrying about Princess Projectra or waiting for Cosmic Boy to come back will be outraged by this issue but considering all its limitations, the book is as good as it could be expected.Anyway, a new version of the Legion is on its way and this series will soon be reduced to a footnote in DC comics history.   I believe Shooter had very little to do with this story. I suspect that he came up with a finale involving a smart use for the data rippers, good science fiction and a more original finish to his series. The Infinity Net comes out of nowhere, and Brainiac Five's plan of virtual attack is far too simple and vague. I wish I could at least partially recommend the last issue of the latest Legion reboot, but Ramon Bachs' imitation of Francis Manapul is piss poor and in no way can the short, bulky Gazelle in the pages be the same stretchy, elegant figure on the cover.   Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton

  On its own and compared to nothing else, this issue is a little flat and uninteresting; as the final part of both a storyline and a series, it's awful. The "Next Issue" box says, "We greatly appreciate the support of our loyal readers!" but as one of those loyal readers, that's not how I ended up feeling at all. What a shame. Read Full Review
