For the final issue of Legion of Super-Heroes, Paul Levitz devises a short but tight two-step of a story. The themes are eminently familiar, but the somewhat peculiar details of how the plot plays out give the tale enough of a feeling of freshness to make it memorable. As such, this is a fitting end for an enjoyable series. Read Full Review

On the down side, this was kind of predictable. The outsider who no one liked (save Shady) gave his life for the team, showing he was really a hero. The build up of this story made it seem like something truly cataclysmic was coming, and it didn't happen. I will check out the Legion titles in the DCnU. But I just think that this arc, this run of the Legion ended with a whimper and not a bang. I still have a lot of questions about pretty much everything. And that doesn't feel right. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson Aug 22, 2011

Levitz isn't a bad writer by any means, but given all the plothooks set up by the Action Comics run and Legion of 3 Worlds, they could have done so much more. Read Full Review
