The Durlan plot against the United Planets explodes before the Legion's eyes with one assassin still free--and she's the deadliest of them all. As far as one particular Legionnaire is concerned, the fight just became very, very personal!
It's hard to keep all the balls in the air with a cast so huge, but it seems like so much got dropped here. Nothing about Earth-Man, Shady, Mon-Lantern, Harmonia Li, the new Karate Kid we've seen hinted at, or the powerful being that ambushed Wildfire and Dawnstar. Honestly, I find about all of those more interesting than the Durlan plot, but maybe that's just me. I'd also really like to know why B5"s anti-Durlan toy didn't work, unusual for something of his. Legion of Superheroes #9 did exactly what it needed to do: it made me interested enough to come back for the next issue. My enjoyment of this title was waning, but this might be the start of the pendulum swinging back. Read Full Review
The series seems to be dragging its heels, trying to figure out which direction to take its so far monotonous storyline. Unlike past issues that advanced the story somewhat, this issue throws you a chicken bone of new information, leaving you emotionlessly anticipating the next installment. Read Full Review
