    You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Things have developed in a way that suggest an interesting trajectory for Pamela. She’s clearly not going to be in power for much longer, but it’s going to be interesting to see where it is that she goes from here. It’s so cool that Wilson’s been with her for so long. There’s a strong sense of progression from where she was at the beginning of the series to where it is that she is now. Where does she go from being mayor of the single highest profile city in the whole of the DC Universe? It’ll be interesting to see. Read Full Review

    This issue works as a thoughtful commentary on the difficulties of trying to work within a broken and corrupt political system, as well as a fascinating examination of what happens when someone weaponizes the arm of the government for their own purposes while largely ignoring the democratic processes in place once said individual has secured power for themselves.     There are some interesting bits here involving Ivy’s ongoing, growing war with the agents of the Parliament of Trees, but a sort of sameness is taking over the main plot, and I’m not sure where it’s going beyond returning Ivy to her worst instincts. Read Full Review
