R.E.B.E.L.S. has a lot going for it right now. Among others, it has an engaging lead character and a sleek set of visuals. "R.E.B.E.L.S." #1 is a good start, a fun space opera story that seems ready to launch from Earth at any moment. Bedard has a strong grasp on the Vril Dox character, and if he can add depth to the supporting cast, this could be a DC revamp that deserves to stick around for a while. Read Full Review
The writing is not good enough and the excellent art is wasted on a project that prioritizes a completely different set of things. While there are great comics in the future for Andy Clarke, the next issue of this book will not be one of them. Don't buy it. Read Full Review
