I'm less happy with what's done here with Sueprboy and Wonder Girl, although I think this is just a case of Krul picking up where other writers were pointing them already. Still, it comes off as lazy storytelling, taking this particular track just because they don't know what else to do with the couple, which we've seen a million and one times in comics and TV shows. I'm used to it, and I'm not surprised, but that doesn't mean I like it. I do like Nicola Scott's art, though " absolutely gorgeous on every page. I have heard rumors that the Cassie/Connor break up was editorially mandated, but I don't like it whatever the reason. They made a great couple, and DC seems to be against that more or less these days. The names on Jock and Doll Face are just bad. The odd Nun-Man at the beginning just seemed a badly explained non-sequitur. How we're supposed to believe Cassie was having trouble holding on to Conner, but Gar could hold both the villains I'm not sure. And while I've never doubted Raven was powerful, this seemed to be another example of soul self as deus ex machina. What does it do? Whatever the writer wants. Read Full Review
