This issue does a lot of good stuff overall even if it follows the template all too easily, but it's sold in a fantastic way thanks to Francesco Manna's artwork. There's just such great style and design here with some wonderful layouts that it's easy to get drawn into the flow and creativity of it, all while enjoying the character designs as well. The search for answers in Dejah Thoris #5 leads to some dark place for our hero, yet that is where we again see her rise to the occasion. Even if that is met with loss along the way. This would be no easy quest, that much we have known, and it is thrilling to see what else will “try” to stand in her way. Read Full Review
All in all, I have to say that I actually enjoyed this new volume of Dejah Thoris. Frank, Francesco, and Morgan definitely took me by surprise with this one. The writing was concise, and the art was gorgeous. So, if you are into this mythos, or any kind of sword-and-shield fantasy, pick this one up. I give Dejah Thoris #5, 3.5 out of 5. Read Full Review
