HOT MARTIAN BLASTERS MEET COLD HYRKANIAN STEEL!
While serving out a life-debt, Red Sonja uncovers a sinister prophecy of cosmic foulness from beyond the stars. To stop the imminent destruction of the world, the She-Devil with a Sword must trek from the deserts south of Hyrkania all the way to the northern shores of the Vilayet Sea to face down the insidious invaders from Mars — not to mention the serpent-men, metamorlocks, and ancient, angry monster-gods that she meets along the way!

'Red Sonja Attacks Mars' #1 wonderfully blends heroic fantasy, science fiction and horror as it cleverly pits Red Sonja against Martian zombies. Read Full Review
The character design of the Martians continues to hold considerable appeal. Burtons film adaptation is so oerwhelmingly iconic and pleasantly weird that its difficult to see scenes featuring the beloved creatures without hearing the distinctly weird theremin of Elfmans score and the adorably creepy ack ack of the Martians in question. Its a fun mash-up between the two franchises that should be particularly interesting on Mars itself now that Sonja is setting herself in the direction of the red planet. RED SONJA ATTACKS MARS #1 is a mess. The dialog is terrible, the plot doesn't make any sense, and the art is sub-par. If you're looking for a gimmick book, this issue barely qualifies. Read Full Review
This far surpassed expectations. Crazy hijinx galore with a breakneck pace and loads of ground covered. Fran Strukan's art is still an acquired taste but is far superior to his work in the preceding Sonja/Mars Attacks crossover and suits the frenetic adventures with nice clear storytelling. The most fun Red Sonja comic I've read in years and looking forward to the next issue.
