I have no idea how they'll actually work the Hell Sonja series but I'm always a bit wary when one series ends in order to launch another. It's not uncommon but it leaves me feeling like we didn't get a proper ending here, not that I thought this series was launched in a strong way to begin with. It was the ideal way to do a regular run of Elseworlds-style stories with a rotating range of writers and artists but it was instead a story-arc driven piece that was narratively hard to work with. The second half of the run worked more like I had hoped for but it was all about setting up for this ending to launch this other series. It works, as best as it can here, and I'm likely back to try at least a few issues of it, but I wish this series overall had been better defined and handled. Read Full Review

SONJAVERSAL #10 is a trippy issue that answers many of the lingering questions around what Hell Sonja is really up to. The issue is a soft conclusion to the arc that establishes another new status quo leading into the forthcoming Hell Sonja series. While the last several issues have established the characters well going into the next series, its not quite clear where the story is headed. Read Full Review
