Things get serious as MM takes a terrible risk, setting him on a collision course with Butcher- whose own suspicions about Hughie grow stronger by the minute. Annie ponders whether honesty is really the best policy, Superduper lay down the law with team leader Malchemical, and someone quite unexpected drops in on Hughie from above... in the penultimate episode of "The Innocents". Suggested for mature readers.

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson May 5, 2010

Virtually every storyarc to date has ended with people dying horribly, and I just hope that its not somebody weve come to care about, proving to me that Ennis and company are doing something right. The Boys Forty-Two serves as proof that theres more than just boogedy boogedy milkshake shockyouBOOM! and earns a very respectable 4.5 out of 5 stars overall. Read Full Review

Comic Vine - Zack Freeman May 5, 2010

Once again, my enjoyment of The Boys is tempered by a wish to see what this team could be doing instead. Ennis, Robertson and Avina are tremendous talents, so far above most others, that I'd really like to see them doing something like an arc in Ennis' Battlefields instead of another comic turning superheroes on their head. That being said, this is still worthwhile read if you want a very well-done comic. Read Full Review
