With Hughie absent, Butcher re-examines the Boys' first encounter with the Seven, trying to figure out what went wrong. But first there's some disquiet in the ranks to be dealt with, not to mention the return of an old and unexpected enemy- who finally, incredibly, has come into his own. Meanwhile, on the Seven's floating headquarters, a flying lesson goes badly awry... Proper Preparation And Planning, part one.
The Boys are gearing up for the big battle with the Seven, but this issue puts in place several subplots to derail that confrontation. This issue is all about laying more seeds for the eventual forest of story that is going to come crashing together like waves of lava against ancient celestial lands. It's going to be epic, it's going to be intense, and it's going to be exactly what we've been waiting for.
