    VAMPIVERSE PRESENTS: THE VAMP (ONE-SHOT) is a well-constructed, perfectly sized one-shot spinning off one of the better-remembered characters from the Vampiverse adventure. The writing and art perfectly capture the spirit of classic pulp serial adventures, and the Vamps origins creatively echo Vampirellas story with plenty of twists to create something that stands on its own.     The Vamp is a great idea, a new twist on an existing character that is just different enough to the original, in both look and environs, that it can feel fresh. I do wish that the story was spread over two issue; perhaps with more pages the greater development would have lead to a more balanced reading experience. Read Full Review

    Vampirella's latest battle against evil is an over-stuffed supernatural tale with more positives than negatives. Things happen too quickly with little time between set-ups but there's no denying how exciting the universe of The Vamp is. Sniegoski dives deep into the style of pulpy serials of the past with great results albeit condensed into one issue. Over-the-top villains, mystical weapons, an impending apocalypse, and one determined badass make 'The Vamp' a fun read.  Read Full Review
