The war isn’t going well for the kingdom of Firekeep and their allied forces of the south. One after another, cities are falling to the hordes of subhuman thralls unleashed by the Ice Realms. Led by the resurrected prince who now calls himself Kadav’r and wields the dark powers of the pits, no mortal army is able to stand against them. It isn’t all gloom and doom, though — Larn finally makes it back to his home village, where he discovers that he’s being celebrated as a great hero, and that’s a good thing… right?

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Sep 30, 2026In a way, Fire and Ice has been kind of a beautifully weird retro series. The entire run really feels like it could have been presented in an early issue of.Heavy Metal. The art style feels perfectly at home with that early 1980s fantasy fuel. The type of thing that would feel very high-end and epic on a page of that magazine. It almost feels like a cow that never really quite got made. And so as a result, it seems kind of weird to have it come out now. Not unpleasant. Just weird. Because it doesn't quite fit on the comics rack today the way it is. Read Full Review
