A fitting conclusion. With the help of the Sol Emeralds, Blaze restores Sonic's memory and sends him home, and in a nick of time too, because Eggman is attacking with an Omega and Gemerl-powered machine.
I love the look on Eggman's face when Sonic shows up. It's reminiscent of the old Archie series when Sonic showed up to foil him. The only thing missing was him shouting, "I hate that Hedgehog!" I was growing weary of the Metal virus saga, and am glad it's over and it was good to see a nice 2-part story. Kind of like the old days.
