Sep 08, 2026Star Trek: Red Shirts - Ghost of the 21st Century #2 continues to carve out its own corner of the franchise with spies, assassinations, and gruesome deaths. The conspiracy surrounding Chief Officer Miller becomes far more tangible here, giving Harry and his new allies little choice but to think fast and eventually go rogue. Scott Buoncristiano delivers some surprisingly brutal violence, including one red-shirt death that is difficult to forget. The cramped layouts occasionally limit the scale and energy of the action, but the espionage angle gives the series a distinct personality. It may resemble a James Bond adventure at times, yet there's enough Trek DNA underneath all the bloodshed and double-crossing to make the approach work. Read Full Review
