It doesn't feel that threatening and overwhelming – its the last issue, so you can figure out that things will get wrapped up quickly – but it gives you a little something extra when the CyberBorg is dealt with. Comic Book Therapy - thorverine
Dec 19, 2012Star Trek: TNG/Doctor Who Assimilation2 is the crossover event fans have been waiting for. The first half of the story was superb, the middle fleshed out the threat as the two leads (Picard and The Doctor) talked it out, and the finale pumped up the action. While it is a great event taken as a whole, the final issue will probably leave many readers wishing the last two or three issues would have been this action oriented. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson
Dec 23, 2012The biggest problem with this book isn't really with this book at all, it's with the concept of the series itself, in that after the two robot armies join up, there doesn't seem to be a place to go OTHER than fighty-fighty. They handle everyone reasonably well, and play with the continuity of both series ably, but don't really add anything entirely new to either mythos, and the cliffhanger ending rather annoys me for some reason. There aren't really any issues with the characters seeming or acting out of character, which is nice, and the "voice" of Eleven is well-done throughout the issue, something that I do like. Star Trek:The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation #8 is okay as a stand-alone issue, but the combined issues with art and story leave it as a slightly-below average comic book experience, especially at a 4 dollar price point.
