This is the first in a run of three and I look forward t seeing how this one plays out. The somewhat modern setting does not hinder the darkness that fans know and love and it actually provides for the characters to delve even further into the void. This is a very mature story and frankly I’m kind of surprised to see it come from IDW. In their early days I would never have second guessed it, but their brand and titles have swung in a different direction in recent years. This is definitely the best thing they’ve published all year. Overall, I was impressed with this first issue. I recommend this comic to both fans of the original comic series and neophytes alike, with no real need to go back and read the earlier comics. OBarr has returned with a fresh standalone storyline that I look forward to reading further with each issue. Read Full Review

The Crow: Curare #1 successfully paints an awfully grim picture. Unfortunately, theres no character in the entire issue that I feel any real emotional attachment to. Rather than following the series at the hopes that Det. Salk will make the violence stop, Ill likely stop the violence myself by avoiding the next issue. Read Full Review
