Incarcerated! Is this the end for Gary Hampton, The Astounding Wolf-Man? No, dear readers--this is only the beginning!
Howard's art maintains a grim clarity, cartoonish and expressive without being humorous, and the colorists stay in the realm of blues and browns for Gary's incarceration, appropriately so. Another solid installment, full of such incident it seems to fly right by. Read Full Review
While I started out proclaiming my love for Kirkman and saying this book is not up to par I must admit the book has been really picking up momentum since issue #11 and the crossover with Invincible (which is a fantastic book on a side note) and given me hope for the future. I like the issue and I love the concept of a superhero in prison without his super powers. I still think there is more story development that could have taken place and I would like to have seen a little more reaction from Gary to the events taking place. I still think this is a title with a lot of potential... then again that might be my man crush talking again. Read Full Review
I don't know... Everything about it just feels wrong. I feel like I'm a Spider-Man fan reading his current ASM series. That's not what I came here for. But okay, looks like that's the night when Gary isn't in control of himself. Maybe the next issue will at least be a fun bloody mess. Everything is already ruined to the point of no return, it won't make anything any worse. So yeah. 6/10 only for the fact that it's still not bad of a comic book. I just really don't like the course Robert did set for these characters. It really leaves some unnerving after-taste.
