With the heavy amounts of violence and dark content, this is certainly not a book for everyone. On the other hand, Nick Spencer is building a very interesting world and I think this series is going to get better as time goes on. The answer to that question is that evil can be both. Evil can be a very part of your nature (evil as in the way society views evil) and that you can naturally just be a gigantic asshole towards everyone and everything, or you can be an inherently good person who goes out and decides to commit an evil act (if youre Catholic, drugs, alcohol, sex or masturbation might apply to the notion of that evil act) because you are curious to see if something as powerfully invigorating as stealing something might change your whole outlook on life. You can be a good person and choose to do evil things out of curiosity, or you can just be a naturally evil person who has a predisposition to hate everything. The last issue was really the best spot to jump on the series because the entire issue was built like a first issue or a new series, but Spencer has made sure to make this issue accessible to new readers as well. If you are curious about this series I would still go back and grab issue seven, but if you really only want to make a one issue commitment then go ahead and start here. Spencer does a fine job of recapping the events of the previous issue so it's not like you're going to struggle to figure out what's happening in the issue.
