    Nerd Initiative - ShawnFoles

Chachu #3 is easily the best issue in the series so far. This issue is at times an emotional look at what “Uncle Dick” gave up of himself to be married to Cleo, the Hollywood starlet. This series’ creative team has quickly established themselves as committed to putting forward a modern-day noir standard. Read Full Review

Chachu #3 slows the pace down and gives the characters plenty of time to shine. The main mystery doesn't seem very mysterious, but it’s also not the real focus of the story. That would be the enigma that is Chachu himself, and what role he’s going to play in Leila deciding what kind of adult she wants to be. That’s a much more interesting story than a standard missing persons case anyway. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles

    Oct 17, 2026

Chachu has been a fun ride so far and has been told in a manner that it doesn’t require some epic final issue to properly land. It’s been an engaging tale throughout and has made good on its premise to tell a unique and compelling noir story. Read Full Review
