Doug Wagner wonderfully pens a captivating script, while Daniel Hillyard's artwork compliments the story well. Together, they bring a breath of fresh air to an otherwise saturated genre. Itchiness and scratching are really easy visceral things to throw-into a visual mix for an earthbound drama. Rennies constant scratching craws into the readers mind and before long...well...theres a kind of empathy between reader and main character that cant help but result in. scratching that fosters an interesting connection between audience and anti-hero. Its sharp and clever stuff with a great deal of tiny intricacy that feels kind of overwhelmingly endearing. Very cool stuff in a very promising opening for the new series. Read Full Review
Hillyards art is spectacular. I love the beautifully detailed characters and how bright everything looks in contrast to the dark subject matter of the story. Its a wonderful visual choice that pays off when dark moments happen in the story and I love how those moments build visually. Read Full Review
While the book doesn't have quite the same immediate oomph, 'Fashion School Serial Killer' could be a novel addition to the weird and bloody canon of Wagner and Hillyard. Read Full Review
