You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

The demon/human hybrid at the heart of the issue holds a lot of possibilities in her very capable hands. Jordan and company could potentially take things in a whole bunch of different interesting direction with her and the whole world that is illustrated in the first issue of the series. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. There's a lot left to be revealed about the world. That's being explored in the first issue. There is still potential for a very mind working series that could play with the very fundamental concepts of horror, fantasy, and so much more. Read Full Review

There are some great moments of action in the story as well and I look forward to seeing what happens next. Read Full Review

I want to start off by saying that this type of story is not something that I read. But after giving this first issue of Malevolent a shot, I must say that it has opened my eyes to trying more comics that I normally steer clear of. This book is the start of something that I hope brings a whirlwind of devastation. The storytelling combined with the artwork bring this to a larger scale. I'm surprised the panels are big enough to hold it in. Image Comics has something special here, and I cannot wait to keep up with this story! Go get your copy of this first issue! Read Full Review

    AIPT - Chris Coplan

With a promising premise (and some sturdy development early on), 'Malevolent' could bring new life to a familiar story (or it could also fall slightly short). Read Full Review
