You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Dec 30, 2024

With the major plot point revealed at the end of the issue...the story DOES seem to be moving in an interesting direction. McFarlane and company seem to be getting into the some potentially interesting territory. Its possible that the story could get remarkably silly in the ninth issue of the series, but McFarlane and companywould REALLY have to drop the ball in order for that to happen. Theyre in the right space in the right place to start exploring some interesting things in dark horror detective fiction.  Read Full Review

Here begins a new arc, we have a new creative team and a new case. this new story of Sam and Twitch starts very interesting. I love drawing, Thomas Knachlik is a great artist. the script is also excellent, in a single issue a mystery begins and we get to know the daily life of detective Twitch with his wife and children. Even Spawn makes a cameo! Someone is trying to frame Twitch in a crime it didn't commit. the killer harasses Twitch by spying on him even in his home. Sam Burke begins to take the case seriously when the medical examiner tells him that the person Twitch allegedly killed had been dead for several days, how can that be? Is it a zombie? A great number to start a new case!
