Erik Larsen's artwork is unique and that is its appeal. Hedepicts battles very nicely, and his establishing shots a re solid in their construction and look like complete places, no matter how spartan they might be. The colors are bright and give the book that classic comic book feel that it needs with so many heavy consequences to having these characters in its world. If the book has a weak point, it is not the artwork, its in that it's a hard title to just jump into. I would recommend picking up issue #200 before reading this one. All in all, regular readers will know doubt love this issue, but it very much follows in the footsteps of some of the changes seen in the 200th issue. For everyone it pleases, I imagine others will not feel so engaged. Read Full Review
Now there may be some people who are enjoying Malcolm's sexual adventures. Larsen certainly draws and writes it to be impressive. But you can only deal with so much before the inevitable enemies come on strong and unleash their monstrous havoc on the landscape and hopefully on young Malcolm's face in the process. I am hopeful that things will return. Until then, grab up a chair and get some popcorn as the future for Malcolm will consist of some ass kicking and some ass tapping for the foreseeable future.
