The drama of the life of Kirby is something that is insanely difficult to distill dow into a single graphic novel. Theres so much that gets fdropped around the edges of the narrrative. And so its not quite as satisfying as it should be because Kirby had such a long and fascinating life. In the end, Freitas and Pereiras work feels like a fascinating initial study to a much longer series that would be a hell of a lot more stasfying in the long run. As it stands, its a fun, little curiosity that celebrates the life of a great artist. Read Full Review
