Yumi is in love. Yumi is lethal. When her MI6 boyfriend disappears, Yumi storms the agency — hacking their network, dismantling their operatives, and setting everything on fire. There she finds her first ally... a fully AI Lamborghini that’s built less like a car and more like a WMD. The anti-spy thriller begins here.

From the writer of NARCO, PLASTIC, and I WAS A FASHION SCHOOL SERIAL KILLER.

Yumi: 00EX #1 is thrilling as a spy story, but it’s the layer of bonkers chaos that really allows this book to soar. This was like a breath of fresh air, and after an immensely charming debut, I am 100% all in moving forward. Read Full Review

“Yumi: 00EX” feels like a Zillennial’s day out, if that day included chaotic spy antics with a dash of romance. Wagner gives the genre a rocket fueled injection full of amazing antics and cherry bomb romance. This with the combined efforts of Silva, Lennertz and Cvetkovic make for a truly amazing read. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

As charming as Yumi is, she's got a personality. That's fun and smaller doses. And this is perfectly fine at 30 pages a month. However, it's going to start getting tedious if she doesn't have an opportunity to grow and evolved as a person to the nature of her personality is going to be fighting against this as she is perfectly in control of everything. Of course, it wouldn't be a fun series if there were quite a few challenges ahead. It's going to be a matter of presenting those challenges in a way that is true to the idiosyncratic field of the series. If Wagner and Company can do that, they'll have a really fun series on their hands. Read Full Review

Yumi: 00EX #1 knocks it out of the park creating a fascinating spy world that you want to continue reading about. Yumi is as charming as she is deadly, something immediately established by the incredible opening scene of this issue. The high octane momentum created by the opening creates a great pace to the story that is thrilling from the beginning to the end. Read Full Review

Is Yumi: 00EX #1 for everyone? Heck no. But I had a blast with it. It’s super fast-paced, with well-choreographed violence and destruction. More of the jokes and references hit than miss. And the slight mystery of whether there’s really something between Yumi and Richard is just engaging enough to keep me invested in the story between the fights and the references. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Collier Jennings

Yumi: 00EX #1 gets by more on style than substance, letting its visuals carry a story that's begging to be fleshed out. Here's hoping future issues add a bit more depth, especially as Yumi's quest to find the love of her life hits some serious roadblocks. Read Full Review
