  (Cover Date: February, 1969) Summary: Steve Rogers is out for an evening stroll when the Hulk bursts through a wall, pursued by soldiers. The Hulk is hit by an ionic energy cannon. Rick Jones shows up while Cap is fighting against the Hulk. Rick tries to calm the Hulk but is knocked out when the Hulk destroys the cannon. Hulk then leaps away. Cap takes Rick to Avengers Mansion to recover. Rick appears before Cap dressed in Bucky's outfit. Cap objects at first but then relents. The Avengers' alarm goes off, & the two head into the sewer system, where they are met by a force of Hydra agents, who are going to poison the water supply. Feeling the fighting is too dangerous, Cap tells Bucky to leave. Madame Hydra orders Cap to be ki lled, & he is attacked by a Hydra agent in a power vest. Cap defeats the agent. Rick comes back to see the Hydra agent holding Cap's shield. Rick charges in to avenge Cap's death. Revealing himself, Cap then uses his shield to break the surrounding water lines. Madame Hydra captures Rick with her whip & then pushes him toward the raging water, where the Hydra agents are being swept away. Cap extends his arm to save Rick from the torrent. Cap compliments Rick on helping him to beat Hydra. more
