With the flip of the last page you have to applaud the effort put into Captain America and The Mighty Avengers because the conclusion of this title marks this as one of the last titles standing at the end of the world. The art is capable of matching the extreme pathos for such an issue" aiming for something realistic and emotive. The personalities come across as strong, and there are several sequences of panels that pace the reading nicely. Check out how many characters are in close-up, head tilted but looking up. I've read the previous issues available on unlimited and was kinda neutral about this series. I bought this just for that cover but read it too since why not.
It was sappy, true, but omg was it good regardless. I actually was wiping away tears after reading it. Great tie-in to the end of the Marvel Universe 616.
Best comic book of the week.
