With so much Flash Thompson action there's no way this can be bad. Really enjoyed this one, finally the plot is moving forward much faster than before.
As the King in Black spreads his suffocating darkness across the Marvel Universe, Eddie Brock looks for a light, any light, that can pierce it - and comes up empty-handed...

There we go, this one was just so much better than the previous issue. Loving the ongoing mystery and the overall story, hopefully this will only keep improving.
ALL-NEW SERIES CONTINUES!
WHO DESTROYED ONE OF THE JEDI'S DEADLIEST ENEMIES?
• The NIHIL strike! A ship found adrift in space, the crew brutally slaughtered and cargo stolen.
• What terror awaits the THE JEDI OF STARLIGHT BEACON as they explore the wreck?
• Newly knighted KEEVE TRENNI...
Pretty fun, doesn't go too deep into the whole King in Black plot but manages to work really well even without it.
THE QUEEN IN RED SAILS!
Red Queen Kate Pryde and her crew of Marauders set sail against the forces of Knull! Captain Kate has pledged to fight for the needy, and a global disaster like this one gives plenty of folks in need.

They've been at each other's throats over the band for years, but not like this. THIS battle of the bands really shreds...

I'm not even sure what's happening anymore. This reads more and more like a badly-written fanfic rather than a book that's meant to be Marvel's flagship book.
THE BATTLE TO DECIDE THE ALL-NEW PHOENIX RAGES ON!
Who will wield the destructive cosmic power of the Phoenix Force? Namor will stop at nothing to be the fiery victor. The Black Panther worries as much about victory as he does defeat. Jane Foster knows what it means to carry on a powerful legacy. The She-Hulk cannot be stopped. And the Orb has ...
Wow, this was unexpectedly good. I went into this having zero expectations, and it turned out great. Yes, the Black Knight is written a bit differently than usual, but it doesn't feel unnatural. Inclusion of Aero and Sword Master was really well done as well. This works really well as both KiB tie-in and a standalone issue. Cannot wait for more Black Knight written by Spurrier.
THE BLACK KNIGHT DUELS THE KING IN BLACK!
KNULL's ferocious assault upon earth has begun and Dane Whitman - Avenger, hero, and wielder of the mighty Ebony Blade as the BLACK KNIGHT - takes up sword and shield to defend against the unstoppable onslaught. Though the blade grants Dane incredible power so too does it consume him with a lust for vio...
Wonder Woman faces her most relentless foe yet—a marketing maven who would sell her Louboutins for the chance to manage the Amazing Amazon! Can Wonder Woman escape her most persistent pitches? She does make some excellent points…
All of the stories here were fine, but there's nothing that would keep me wanting to read more of it. The main story is ok, but I'm really unsure if I'd pick up the backups if they were standalone books, as I feel like it's more of a chore to read them, rather than something I'm supposed to be enjoying.
The adventures of the next Batman continue! Batman has captured a pair of murderous fugitives, but he faces a tough decision: leave them for the Magistrate troops, which means certain death, or risk his life and fight his way through Gotham City to deliver them to the GCPD for trial. He’s Batman...so there’s only one choice!

What a great two-issue story. Great introduction to the character, great writing and art, which only left me wanting for more.
Emerging from the Amazon rain forest, the new Wonder Woman must battle her way through hell! Witness Yara Flor at the height of her power as she takes on the king of the underworld, Hades himself! Betrayed by a close ally, Yara’s back is against the wall as she is forced to battle legions of demons for survival and to liberate her Themysciran sis...
Incredibly bland. I don't remember most of this not too long after reading it, which is, well, not a good sign.
Braincells, the advanced offshoot of the diabolical Brainiac, continues to lure Jonathan Kent down the wrong path-but things go from bad to this can’t get any worse when it appears it has also taken some manner of control over Supergirl! If the Kryptonians clash, nothing will be able to protect the bottled city of Metropolis!
Meanwhile, i...
Wow, this was fantastic. While I'm finding Future State to be mostly very disappointing, this was an incredibly well-written story. Cannot wait to read more Swamp Thing stuff by Ram V.
Humanity strikes back! The shadow of Swamp Thing Supreme stretches across the globe as it has for centuries. The world is at peace, until a rebellious faction of humanity ignites their terrible plan, fueled by Woodrue Wilson’s appetite for power. But Swamp Thing, too, harbors a secret-one he must reveal in order to restore peace to the planet onc...
Oh boy am I cautious about the upcoming Flash run. I'll give it a chance, but after this monstrosity it's really impossible to be even remotely excited about it.
All hope is lost as Barry Allen races to save his former partner, Wally West. Armed with the weapons of the Rogues who once tried to destroy the Flash, Barry plots an attack that’ll either free the former Kid Flash from the evil that’s possessed him-or end his threat forever!
THE BLACK TIDE lay waste to all that lies before them, cutting a swath of devastation and death across the ocean floor. The only chance to stop them may lie with ATTUMA's people - and if that fails, nothing stands between The Black Tide and Atlantis itself. A tragedy that will impact Atlantean history forever, and transform friendship into enmity. ...
Pretty decent, definitely much better than the previous story. Really pretty art here.
In order to escape Mongul's clutches, Wonder Woman and Artemis must put aside their differences and find a way to work together!
Loving the Bruce Wayne story. Cannot wait for the post-Future State stories by this creative team. The backup was pretty good too, which was a surprise as I found the majority of backups on this line of books very hit-or-miss.
Bruce Wayne is supposed to be dead...but this Dark Detective is on the run and shining a light on the mystery of his own “murder”: How did the killers know Bruce Wayne was Batman? As the forces of the Magistrate zero in on Bruce’s location, it’s a race against time to unlock the secrets of their surveillance tech and take the fight to the v...
Once again, all stories were really good. I wish I could see them fleshed out a bit more, but even what we had here was fantastic.
The all-new anthology series continues with new tales of mystery, mayhem and madness from all levels of Gotham City by some of the finest talents in comics.
In this auspicious issue:
• Eisner Award-winning collaborators Tom King and Mitch Gerads (Mister Miracle, Strange Adventures) tell a tale of Batman administering a form of las...
Smart and very well-writen. One of the better Future State books so far.
Welcome to Lexor, home of the greatest businessman in the Multiverse: Lex Luthor! After years of prosperity, Lex’s utopia is at last ready to join the ranks of the United Planets and promote peace among worlds. However, Lex has never done anything unless he had something to gain from it. What could he be up to this time? Sounds like a job for Sup...
Ugh, the first story was half-decent, but my god do I not care about the backup one. It's just plain awful.
The Suicide Squad enters the Future State era as Amanda Waller uses Task Force X to save the world and remake it in her image-but what happens when the team shows up to stop her?
And in the second story in this extra-sized issue, Black Adam, the immortal one-time champion of the wizard Shazam, rules the planet Kahndaq in the 853rd century. ...
There's a few thing I could pick on, but damn does Yang write a good Superman.
Back in the early days of the Magistrate’s occupation of Gotham City, Bruce Wayne found himself pushed to the edge like never before. So calling the Man of Steel in for backup makes sense, right? Wrong. Gotham’s sinister overlords have already sprung the ultimate trap on the Last Son of Krypton...and with Kryptonian power at your command, no on...
This is so much more metal and DC's Metal wished it could be.
After last issue's shocking finale, the heroes of the Marvel Universe are reeling. Outgunned and outmanned, but never outdone, they unite and face KNULL, God of the Abyss, as he ensnares the planet in the darkness of his reign! Superstars DONNY CATES and RYAN STEGMAN continue to raise the game - and the stakes for the Marvel Universe in this Earth-...
This is probably the worst writing by Aaron I've read. It's getting infuriating.
THE BATTLE TO DECIDE THE ALL-NEW PHOENIX CONTINUES!
Who will wield the power of the PHOENIX FORCE? A globe-spanning tournament is underway, under the direction of the firebird itself, pitting some of Marvel's greatest heroes against their fiercest enemies and also against each other, giving each of them a taste of the awesome cosmic might that'...
Wonder Woman receives a distress call from Artemis...on Warworld!
Didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one, and I found the backups worse as well.
In this second Future State: Batman chapter, wearing a mask in Gotham City is now a crime-and when it’s compounded with murder, it can be a shoot-on-sight offense! Batman is on the trail of a murderous couple but quickly finds that all is not as it seems...and finds himself in the firing line of the Magistrate and their Peacekeepers! The gritty, ...
Phantasm has come to Gotham City! Andrea Beaumont, the one-time love of Bruce Wayne, is looking for her lost child, and she’s pretty sure The Joker is involved. So, who better to have as an ally than Batman? And what better way to get to Batman than through Catwoman? It’s a knotted history for this costumed quartet, spanning past, present, and ...
First story was really good and I'm getting really excited for what's in store for Superman post-Future State. The backups were fun, even if I could easily live without them.
This monumental Future State title features four big stories! First, Clark Kent is gone, leaving a Superman-shaped hole behind. People gather in Smallville to celebrate their hero, little realizing that he is across the galaxy helping others. Superman has gone to Warworld, where he fights as a gladiator in the deadly pits of Mongul. But this is Sup...
Beautiful art, pretty bland and generic stories.
The Undoing are coming. Long past the Age of Heroes, few of Diana Prince’s friends survive, and most of her sisters have passed as well. As an immortal goddess, this is her lot. But then, a threat appears that even the mighty Darkseid can’t handle-and it’s up to Wonder Woman to take on the battle! It’s big action and high fantasy at the end...
As good as I've expected it to be. Seems a bit more like Suicide Squad rather than Thunderbolts, but doubt there's another Marvel team that would fit the name better. Great writing and art, it's always a welcome change when the villains are portrayed as proper characters rather than just the regular baddies. Can't wait for more.
KINGPIN'S KILLERS VERSUS AN ARMY OF UNKILLABLE DRAGONS!
An army of evil space dragons have come to attack Earth and are starting with New York. MAYOR FISK has a plan for that. Assembling a group of killers, mercenaries, and just generally pretty horrible people like TASKMASTER, RHINO, STAR, MR. FEAR, and BATROC THE LEAPER, Mayor Fisk tasks them...

I wasn't too sure what this book is even going to be about, but decided to give it a try. Turns out this is a sort-of anthology books focusing on various characters during the King in Black event. The first issue focuses on the characters from recently concluded Scream and Ravencroft books. While I did find the stories themselves to be quite generic, it's still a very fun read and a nice way to flmore
