This book is an astonishment: a rose seeded among dried bones. If you aren't reading this series you are missing out. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #7 is yet another excellent crossover comic. Gillen, Werneck, and Curiel keep proving why this book is the best in the X-Men camp. Its also extremely important to Judgment Day and definitely deserves a read from anyone who is reading that book. Read Full Review
‘Immortal X-Men' fills in more of the overall Judgement Day pieces, using Nightcrawler as the central protagonist working behind the scenes to bring the potential victorious vision of Destiny to fruition. There is a ton going on in this issue but it never feels overwhelming, resting firmly upon the charming optimistic but powerful shoulders of the beloved teleporting X-Man. Where there is Nightcrawler, there will be hope. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #7is a great reminder of why Nightcrawler is a fan-favorite X-Men character, as he comes up with a plan to save the Earth. As Judgment Day nears its end, this comic serves as a reminder that even in the face of seemingly impossible odds, it helps to have something to believe in. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #7 succinctly shows Kurt's roguishness and devoutness come from the same place, which may make this issue the definitive Nightcrawler story. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Menis still the series in the X-line to beat (right next toX-Men Red), andJudgment Dayis still one of the best Marvel events in years, making this a deeply entertaining issue in its own right. Read Full Review
Immortal X-Men #7 details Nightcrawler's psyche, but I wasn't 100% on board with this creative decision. Read Full Review
This was hands-down the best Judgment Day tie-in for this book. Nightcrawler has always been one of my favorite mutants, and Gillen handles him and his story here very well in this issue. His internal conflict regarding whether or not the world should survive Judgment Day is just damn good. Plus, his interactions with Destiny and Sinister were great and I was interested to see a darker side of him come out in a pressure-filled situation. I will say that the ending had me questioning whether or not to give this a 9.5 or a 10, but the rest of the greatness of this issue overshadows it tremendously. This was just an awesome Nightcrawler issue and I would like Werneck to draw Nightcrawler until the end of time.
Nightcrawler at his finest.
Loved this issue and loved Nightcrawler. He was my brother's favorite, I never really got why, but this issue made me see why.
Probably my single favorite tie-in from the entire event. Kurt's growth as a character throughout the Krakoan era has been one of the strong points and this issue is a near perfect example of it.
Fab issue.
This was a great read with very nice misdirection. I wish Gillen did stuff like this in the main Judgement Day books but I'm happy we're getting traction here. Lucas Werneck is wonderful especially with Curiel on colors! I'm glad Guillen and Ewing actually deliver in these tie-in books and not just waste time as has been the case with others.
I like the Moira arc in this era of X-Men, but I don’t believe she’d change her personality so much. Still, interesting developments.
I found this surprisingly messy considering that Mr. Gillen has assembled the rest of the event like a Swiss watch. But that's not even really a bad thing, this is tremendously vibrant. It swaggers, just like Nightcrawler.
The art's solid and there are a lot of cool/mindblowing plot developments going on. They don't add up to a very clear picture by themselves, but this will doubtless be a vital puzzle piece in the event as a whole.
Very useful insight as to what the hell happened with Krakoan resurrection protocols lately.
Immortal has been a solid series. This issue is no different. Well written, and looks great.
