THE THIRD & FINAL STORY-CRITICAL A.X.E. ONE-SHOT! Ajak has come a long way. She's met her maker. Hell, she's made her maker. Now can she - or anyone - survive her maker?
Rated T+
In the final issue giving us how our heroes have been judged, we get an in-depth look at Ajak, and how her faith leads to an almost fanatic approach. Will this end well? Or have her actions made her cross a line her god cant abide? Read Full Review
Perry delivers some great art throughout the issue and I love the visual aesthetic of both parts of the story. Read Full Review
A.X.E.: Eternals #1is a meditation on the nature of faith and what people are willing to do for it, using the Eternals' Ajak as its focal point. Not only do these one-shots help add more dimension to Judgment Day as a whole, but they also build upon the themes present in that storyline. If you've been enjoying Judgment Day, you'll definitely want to pick up this one-shot and its predecessors. Read Full Review

Very interesting. Only real complain is that I wish the art was better at some panels.
This was a good issue, Gillen writes these one-shots well. I enjoy the focus on sole characters and delving into their motivations and pasts, but unfortunately this one was brought down by sub-par art.
This event has been hitting on all cylinders and Ajax us one of the most understated characters in this thing. Her religious whims are both fascinating and well written, which these days you dont always see.
This book explores pious guitar, sacrifice and zealotry in a fascinating light. Its well worth a read even if the art is kinda rushed to me
It's appropriate that this issue is all about faith, because to me, it's asking for some faith on the reader's part. I'll give it freely -- everything about this event suggests that the author has an all-encompassing master plan. This issue is inscrutable by itself, but I'm betting its role will become clearer in the future.
The art isn't to my taste, but I can tell that's subjective. It's no favorite of mine, but it's definitely not bad.
Convoluted dialogues and horrendous art.
