"I am surprise to repeat myself again" Your surprised lol
The apocalyptic finale of the event of the year. It's not that nothing will be the same again - it's that unless heroes can find a new way to be heroes, everything will be nothing forever.
Rated T+
A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 brings an end to Marvel's latest event series and upends the world of the Avengers, X-Men, and Eternals in the process. If I were in the Progenitor's place, I would definitely judge this comic worthy of reading. It's very rare that a superhero comic can deal with matters of faith in such a profound way, but this one more than succeeds. Read Full Review
Schiti and Fiorelli knock it out of the park with blisteringly beautiful visuals that are filled with great character moments, tension and action. A beautiful looking issue from start to finish. Read Full Review
The event ends with the destruction of the world, but also hope. The best event sinceSecret Wars ends with an inspiring story that shows that the world can be saved with more than punching. Read Full Review
A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 delivers big time for fans of earned resolution, and the incredible trick of characters talking is as impactful as punching in a superhero comic. This event has always been about the ideas of things or the impression of an entire culture and has shifted global understanding. For an event-caliber story, that's hugely impactful, and it'll be interesting to see the ramifications of this event going forward. Read Full Review
The resolution of the threat to Earth feels a bit sudden, but the art is wonderful and the things that come AFTER that literal Deus Ex Machina more than make up for it. Read Full Review
Solid event, came in like a lion, with some nice character development, with some stunning art, but the finished with a whimper. Unfortunately the team couldnt stick the landing. Fortunately Gillen built a solid foundation, leaving loads of stories to be mined from his work here. Read Full Review
It's an impressively ambitious affair, especially when one considers that it's using superheroes to contemplate the problem of evil and man's value in an era of decline. Read Full Review
A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 felt way too long and ultimately ended with a discussion, a test, and nothing overly clever or boisterous at all. There was no "wow moment. No "big sacrifice readers will totally care about. Read Full Review
A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 ends the central conflict with high stakes, big action, and at least one character's evolution to a new status quo. The spectacle hits hard, but the small character moments hit with just as much impact. That said, the conclusion boils down to a "My bad and a lot of lecturing, which ends the main event with a whimper instead of a bang. Read Full Review
Ultimately A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 did not make a smooth landing to conclude the latest Marvel event. Resolving the story through emotional story beats rather than who can punch harder was done well. As was what the ending could mean for the X-Men moving forward. Unfortunately, there are many moments in this final issue that come across as hollow on the Avengers and Eternals side of the story. Luckily great artwork from Valerio Schiti and Ivan Fiorelli help lift an ending that should've been more impactful than it turned out to be. Read Full Review
Some inevitable use of tropes aside (oh, what do you mean we weren't serious when we blew everythign up?), this was a perfect ending to one of the better events Marvel has given us in a while, probably my favorite since Secret Wars.
Is big yet feels personal, action packed yet quiet and contemplative.
Yep, a Marvel.
It sticks the landing.
Wow!!! What an absolutely incredible event judgement day was. I thought this story was so powerful and moving. The story was complex and emotionally driven. The artwork was phenomenal throughout the entire run. I felt the tie in issue were so good they would even lift up the books they were in especially the fantastic four issues which had an absolutely beautiful storyline. The complexity and raw emotion of this book made this a epic and moving event that I will be rereading often. I have to say thank you to the entire creative team for a phenomenal story. I can't wait to see what comes next! It's a great time to be a reader of comic books!!!!
As a noted crossover-hater, I've never said these words in this order before in 35 years of reading comics, but: this crossover was incredible
What an issue and what an event. Perfect.
This was incredible.
Well, I just love this. The art's gorgeous (but falling off slightly at the end), the pace and structure are great, and the prose is practically bursting with beautiful moments of heart and humor.
Of course, we knew a big reset button was coming, but the creators finesse it. No horrific genocidal casualties, but plenty of status quo changes.
Best of all, the author ties the event up with a "do better" moral that has universal strength. It's progressive but not pious about it; I hope that even reactionary readers can take it in the spirit it's offered.
Now bring on the Omega issue!
Valerio needs to be a superstar after this. He needs a nice long vacation.
This event delivered on every regard. Action, art, character work, stakes... everything.
At the end is it a save the world story? Yes but the twist that it was morality, empathy and love that needed to win the battle rather than fisticuffs made it much more interesting.
The new Phoenix initiative is a cool idea, executed in a way where it doesn't shake things too much but does something meaningful. Ajak becoming the eternal God and now being tasked with constantly keeping earths judgemenr at hand was a neat twist on her role in thus story. She's one of the more interesting characters to come out of this.
R.i.p. Sersi. I do more
Very good finale. Kind of sad for the ultimate dead of that one character and I was missing Ikaris but it's okay... For now a lot of things are truly going to change.
A nearly perfect ending to the best big 2 event in years. Gillen manages to successfully imbibe big character moments with tons of meaning that really drives home the "we can all strive to be better" message, which is a near-essential element of the best Marvel stories.
He really pulled it off!
Weirdest (in a good way) ending I've seen for a Marvel event. Perhaps words are truly stronger than swords?
A satisfying, even emotional end to a crazy arc.
Gillen and team made this a worthy event, let's see what happens next.
On one hand I liked it. It had some really solid moments. But it also had some generic return to the status quo and some things we are just supposed to accept. I guess I can't complain too much, but I wish there was more fallout that mattered.
It's ambitious but it ends with a whimpering pause. I get we're asking the readers to do better and be better but man is this way off the mark. I appreciate Guillen showcasing regular citizens view of events and have proper repercussions even if things will go back to normal as they always do but not as fast as before. I appreciate him dropping some heavy questions about the idea of God and his attributes as existential endeavors to find answers and he did ask some good questions as this made up god can never be truly worthy of judging creations while it is itself a creation no matter how powerful it is. Also the criteria for judging was erratic and unknown. It was the delivery and the pacing of this issue that killed the pondering. I nevermore
The final issue, and whole event really, was just okay throughout. Rather tedious and boring at times. The celestials constant inner monologue was hard to read at times… in that it felt like boring filler dialogue not unlike old 90’s narration boxes that could be skipped over without missing anything.
I do like the idea of resolving a big conflict without resorting to who can hit harder. Only sometimes of course, since it can be a lot of fun to see a good super hero battle. I’m also torn by this because I wanted Thor to use jarnbjorn to slice the head of that celestial like he did in uncanny avengers. I guess he forgot that he has a weapon specifically for killing celestial…
The art pretty good aside from a f more
It was an okay ending to a rather great event in my opinion. This final issue felt very anti-climatic and just a bit of a bummer. The ending really made this whole event feel like filler. I am interested to see where the mutants and eternals go from here at the very least.
All that and it could pretty much be skipped. It won’t be memorable or have any lasting feelings for anyone.
I liked it well enough, but at the end of the day, it disappointed. The whole thing felt too long, and the last issue could have happened two issues ago! And, I am surprised to repeat myself again, but seriously WTF is up with DragRace contestant StarFox??!? I get that everyone needs a redo every now and then, but this one is just absolute rubbish! So, yeah, some great ideas, some interesting talking points, but overall, not the conclusion I was expecting/hoping for! And, lastly, dear GOD, please bring back non-drag-queen StarFox! :S
Pointless
I knew I was going to be disappointed by this series and surprise! I was. This was complete garbage and a waste of money. It was cleaned up as easy as saying - "that's the last issue, gotta wrap it up in a bow." Cap came back - How? There was back up for him. He wasn't a mutant. It was all bullshit writing. Not sure how anyone liked this garbage.
