• Meanwhile, in the pit of the bloody Circus Maximus, can anything stop the unchained fury of the zombie gladiator known as Zanzibar?
• Plus: It's a terrorizing team-up in variant cover form when the Zombie Godfather George Romero unites with the Zombie King Arthur Suydam!
Romero and his art team deliver a rich horror tale that moves at a quick pace while presenting many distinct characters and agendas. Like the films this story builds on, this comic is not for kids (as disclaimed on the cover), but it is for anyone who enjoys thrills with substance. Overall Score: 8.5 out of 10. Read Full Review
Overall, EMPIRE OF THE DEAD #2 is a bit of a disappointment. If it weren't for the fantastic art here, it would be a 2/5. There's way too much going on in this book and way too many side stories. Two of these many side stories are good and the other ones fall flat. There isn't enough room for all of this to grow from issue to issue. Hopefully, this series gets a bit better because right now, it's not meeting expectations. Read Full Review
Definitely not as strong as issue #1. The writing lost its edge a bit and the story became decidedly less interesting. A real bummer because the start was promising. Maybe next time?
This issue was kind of boring, not too much happened.
