As the High Evolutionary puts in place the finishing touches of his chilling scheme to change the face of the planet, Iron Man and Thor find themselves side by side battling the potent and unexpected characters that the evolutionary mastermind has lured to his cause. But can the Golden Avenger and the God of Thunder ever defeat a threat that seeks to rewrite both the divine heritage of Asgard and the proud legacy of science? Worlds will change and nothing, not even the gods, will remain the same.
Overall, I really don't have much to say. Don't take that as a negative review because it isn't. This issue is mostly action with the ending setting up the final battle. It would be up to each reader to determine how they value that. Me? I understand it's purpose and appreciate it. Read Full Review
Scot Eaton's art is at least satisfactory. Eaton's stylistic evolution seen in Doomwar is sadly abandoned for a more traditional superhero style, but it's hardly unattractive. Eaton's pages are clean and vibrant, if not fully consistent in their detail. Eaton seems to struggle with maintaining a cohesive look for Iron Man's armor, though this might also be the fault of the colorist. Though a reasonably enjoyable read, Iron Man/Thor is falling well below the mark established by Abnett and Lanning's other current Marvel work. Read Full Review
