IGN - Jesse Schedeen
Oct 03, 2007One thing to notice during the many pages of fight scenes is Eric Canete's art. The cartoony, bombastic pencils are about as far as you an get from the very realistic tone of the Iron Man ongoing, but they aren't a bad fit for this comic. Despite its mission to modernize a classic Marvel story, this comic is very much a throwback to the "good old days." If a post-Civil War Tony Stark rubs you the wrong way, this comic will give you a glimpse of Iron Man before his armor got all tarnished. Read Full Review

Comics Bulletin - Kevin Powers
Oct 05, 2007Overall, this mini-series has transcended from a stock origin story to something more. The Mandarins origin was definitely in need of a re-boot and Joe Casey seems to have a firm grasp on ret-conning the Mandarins origin in the modern world. Read Full Review
