It's...... not cool. There are 4 stories. Two of them are all-new, but two others are reprints. Well, not reprints. They were originally digital comics, so that was their printed debut. But they literally came out a month before this comic, so it's not like some old digital stuff was printed.
These stories aren't that great. The first one about some AIM woman (who never made a second appearance since then, by the way, even though the ending kinda promised this), who got her hands on old Titanium Man armor and made some matryoshka out of it... This is really silly. I mean, yeah, Russia and everything, cool. But what the fuck? That story also was rather boring... I don't know, there were too many pointless conversations with a lot of business vocabulary. I barely know the meaning of some of these words in my mother language... The plan to launch some billionaires into open space on a super high speed and then make them fly to some AIM ship or something is just dumb... I would love if the author of this comic gave me some of the stuff they were on. The art was... okay.
The "Killer Commute" reprint is fine. I think it should be longer, since it doesn't really reveal the "villain" much, we have the bare minimum of information needed only for the story to be justified, but that's it. Also for some reason the author remembered an old Daredevil enemy Mauler. He literally had only one appearance and died in the same issue. But his suit was used for this story... Makes sense. But anyway, good to see some "solo" Pepper story. But I honestly think they went a bit too far with showing how cool she is. Did I miss something? It's 2010... She already was Rescue. But I don't remember her being able to take a punch from a guy in a super suit like it was a slap. I stopped on re-reading Iron Man just before the Rescue stuff, so... Maybe I just don't remember something. By the way, the art is so-so. Some frames are great, others are awful.
The next original story is some pre-Civil War (I don't know why it was such important to note that, but they did) about Iron Man fighting some emerged Ultimo robot. It was okay, at least not THAT boring. But can't say much. Really forgettable story without any kind of anything special in it.
And the last "Hack" reprint was just... okay. I don't know, most of these stories here feel like it's something from Marvel Adventures. The art was rather underwhelming and I reaaaaaaaaaally can't believe Stark couldn't make his tech virus-proof once and for all. I mean, really? A bankrupt loser guy is good enough to hack his armor? Okay. The story also really tried to make you excited, but failed miserably. He dropped and catched the lady two times in a row, the scenes are literally the same and it doesn't work like this, there's no tension, because you somehow 100% know there'll be no casualties. But I liked the idea of Stark going to some MIT reunion. Sadly, it wasn't really explored much in this story and it became just another typical OH MY GOD I'M HACKED I CAN'T CONTROL MY ARMOR crap. more
