That was nothing. The context from Ghost Rider #2 would have certainly contributed something to the understanding, but even then it would not have saved much storywise.
We accompany Daiman Helstorm in his evil form as Son of Satan, which he only ever assumes at night. For reasons not explained, he wants to find his father and when that happens he apparently fights him simply because he can.
The main character, to whom this issue is dedicated and which is supposed to introduce him, is boring and the rest remain equally pale. The drawings by Herb Trimpe are also rather mediocre.
