Marvel Zombies #3 is another great chapter in one of the minis that has been a real highlight for me in the world of Secret Wars. Issue #3 digs deeper into Elsa's past, slowly unraveling why she is who she is, and Spurrier and Walker are doing a great job with the character. Issues this strong make a great case for expanding Elsa's role in the Marvel Universe, which better be happening in the fall. This is no longer a hope or a request, it is a demand. Read Full Review

This particular issue did feature some gratuitous adventure, but theres nothing wrong with a little action, because, hey, its fun. The second half of the comic got down to business, thougha nice balance of fun and devastation. This comic is great, but not yet excellent. I am waiting to see what surprises the finale brings. I have high hopes for this series. Read Full Review

All-in-all, Marvel Zombies #3 is another solid instalment of a miniseries that's been well-worth reading since page one of #1. Simon Spurrier's script is quick-witted, well-paced and full of heart, whilst Kev Walker's confident lines adeptly illustrate Elsa's zombie-infested corner of Battleworld. Let's hope next month's finale sticks the landing. Read Full Review

Even though I'm not a dedicated reader of zombie comics, I find myself looking forward to "Marvel Zombies" and the work Spurrier, Walker, D'Armata and Cowles bring to this series. This series feels like an Indiana Jones adventure in a twisted version of the Marvel universe, and that is, essentially what "Marvel Zombies" #3 is. Spurrier brings a nice balance of fun, adventure, excitement and mystery into this story and transforms Elsa Bloodstone into a must-read Marvel character. Read Full Review
