MACHINE MAN IS BACK! Zombies of the multiverse, watch your rotting backs! To obtain a cure for the zombie virus for Morbius the Living Vampire, Aaron Stack, Agent of ARMOR, must traverse alternate realities hunting down the plague in all its myriad forms...with a most unusual (but somehow oddly appropriate) partner! First up: in the Alterniverse known as "The Territory," the Old West never died. But when the greatest gunslingers of Marveldom -- Two-Gun Kid, Phantom Rider, Kid Colt, and many others -- rise from their graves in Boot Hill, the stage is set for a High Noon showdown with flesh-eating outlaws the likes of which you've never seen! After one issue I'm already inclined to label Marvel Zombies Vol. 5 as my second favorite entry in the franchise. This book only has the wonderfully wicked Vol. 3 to compete with now, and I have a good deal of hope it will be able to surpass it. The series continues to be a great outlet for Van Lente's twisted brand of humor and a worthy read for those who like their comics to amuse and appall in equal measure. Read Full Review
I won't reveal Machine Man's partner, but he has another new teammate by issue's end, and we're well on our way to another wild ride. Read Full Review
Luckily, this comic doesn't wallow in such negativity. It shoots it in the face. Read Full Review
After the shitty 4th volume I thought it would be bad too, but no! Actually, very cool. The art is awesome and when the main story is simple af, it has a huge fan-service potential. I think it will be interesting and diverse. This issue had a nice setting and story. I enjoyed it. Plus, HOWARD THE DUCK VS ZOMBIES. Why the hell not? It's definitely better, than Morbius and friends.
Love the Easter Eggs.
