    I had been curious where Michael Gaydos had gotten to after "Alias" wrapped up, and Mark Bagley took over the art duties of the opening arc on the "Pulse", so this opening issue effectively answers this question. Now Michael Gaydos is a very effective artist when it comes to the delivery of normal looking people, so he's the ideal artist for a series where none of the Marvel heroes were given powers, and he's also does a pretty nice job of making most of the various characters instantly recognizable in this new environment. I also loved the sense of impending danger established in the final pages, as how can one not love the ominous feel when that classic sound-effect appears on the page. Read Full Review

    An interesting concept which gives a fresh take on established Marvel characters. You'll get a lot more out of the idea if you're a big Marvel fan, but it still works as an enjoyable piece of intrigue which I'm keen to see develop further. Read Full Review
