GOIN' OUT WEST PART 1 With the echoes of last issue's tragic ending still rattling in his head, Frank Castle finds himself tied to a fencepost with barbed wire, watching what may be his last sunrise. Somewhere along the U.S./Mexico border a super-militia bent on igniting a race war has been killing scores of innocent people. By the time the last shot is fired and the last body falls, you'll have met the modern incarnation of the Hate-Monger and seen an all-new look for the Punisher!

This book proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Matt Fraction is a force to be reckoned with and that yes, it is possible to write the Punisher well and not be named Garth Ennis. This is the first issue utilizing Caps death that I have actually really enjoyed. Welcome back, Frank. This is my Pick of the Week. Read Full Review

Punisher War Journal was a disappointing read. I expect more from Fraction than what he gave us with this issue. I still think that this title has plenty of potential and that Fraction will get it moving in a positive direction quickly. I guess I'll just have to suffer through this Hate-Monger story arc before I start enjoying this title again. Read Full Review

Last page was really fucking confusing. Car chase was great. Art was A+. Not to say I'm not looking forward but this issue did lack a sort of punch you would hope for
