There was a lot of great artwork in this issue. A few of the highlights include the facial expressions as Cindy and Gwen argued in the S.H.I.E.L.D. van, the closeup of the tablet Mockingbird used to show Cindy surveillance footage of "her" crimes, and Black Cat's face when she tells Cindy, "You're no fun," after Cindy wouldn't let her disfigure a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. This passable segment of "Spider-Women" has its good points, both narratively and artistically, but suffers from a feeling of being done out of obligation. Inconsistent art quality and a number of plot-by-checklist beats brings down what could have otherwise been a much more interesting chapter. Read Full Review
With two issues to go in the arc, we feel no closer to the conclusion than we did at the end of the previous chapter, even if the stakes are higher than even for one of the increasingly forgotten heroes of Spider-Verse. Read Full Review
