Summary: D'Cheir of the cat-like Mellidar is treated as a pet by the Horde. She has a vision of her people being enslaved by the Horde. She shared a vision with her friend, Lalla'ch, of how the Horde betrayed a benevolent race to gain their space travel technology. She recalls when the Black Watch landed at the Horde base. The Black Watch fights against the Horde with their powers to gain access to a building. They are looking for the throne room. Lalla'ch decides to help the humans much to D'Cheir's dismay. Lalla'ch leads the Black Watch to a room full of enslaved humans in chains. The Horde guards show up & kill Lalla'ch to D'Cheir's horror. Clint kills the First in the Field but is then killed by its tentmate, Clawswipe. The remaining two members of the Black Watch then flee. The enslaved humans are set on fire by the Horde to serve as a funeral pyre for their fallen leader. D'Cheir thinks about what she could have done to help the humans but then goes back to acting like a pet.
