Summary: The team is sent to Washington, DC, to deal with a brutal attack on the populace. They find that some of the Horde are surgically modified humans with bombs planted inside them. The Horde leave with DC in ruins. Having given birth, Aline passes away, again subject to the Morituri Process. Dr. Tuolema uses a stolen Horde technology to send out a call for help.
